For more information see http://www.theadventiststhefilm.com/ Depression Seminar starts January 7 Our church will hold a Depression Seminar for anyone wishing to attend each Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30. Fifteen minutes before the lectures start there will be healthy snacks to illustrate foods which provide nutrition needed to stay depression free. Speakers include doctors, a counselor, a pastor, a neuroscience researcher and others. This seminar is based on the ground breaking work of Dr. Neil Nedley where the cause of depression for each person is discovered and then addressed rather than just treating the symptoms. If you know someone who is depressed, help them by becoming informed. More details are here. Vegan Cooking Classes start March 4 In connection with the Depression Seminar we will have vegan cooking classes to provide the nutrition aspect of staying depression free. Each class will begin at 5:30 each Thursday and will feature not only cooking, recipes, and the science behind proper nutrition, but also sharing a meal together. the classes will end on March 25. |
