World Get Ready for VBS Coming July 19-24and News of Local Interest The VBS Program Theme for 2009 is The Plan of Salvation – presented in the format of Bible Mystery Investigation. 'Secret Agents' will instruct 'Investigators' through a nightly skit where they will be assigned "case studies" requiring a diligent search for Scripture clues. Investigators will also collect and examine the evidence in a hands-on lab (crafts). Each day will reveal more convincing proof about creation and God's Salvation plan, Lucifer's counterfeit, Christ's life & death intervention, right down to the closing events of earth's history when Jesus returns for us. Every activity will reflect this theme. Investigators will learn that Jesus loves them, that He made a world for them, that He gives them guardian angels, and that He is coming again to take them to heaven. We Need at Least Another 20,000. ALL Adventists 30 years and older are needed to join irrespective of diet or health status. It is essential to have the diversity of our members, otherwise we cannot do the study. This study does NOT compare Adventists with the general population. The purpose is to understand what factors increase or decrease the risk of disease and quality of life. Factors such as: various foods, soy, activity, sunlight, heredity, Sabbath, spirituality etc., will be evaluated. This health study will be one of the most important of this century and will have benefit to billions around the world. The more participants the greater the impact.
